Communication training
Practise the conversation before it happens.
The price objection. The complaint. The parent who wants a discount your policy does not allow. Your staff will have these conversations this week. Offsider Training lets them practise first, against a realistic character, and get scored on what they actually said.
This one you can try right now
Offsider Training is live software, not a slide deck. Staff run realistic scenarios: an unhappy parent, a price shopper, a complaint that starts hot. The character talks back the way real customers do. At the end, the staff member is scored on what they said, against marking standards built from the business's own policies.
Owners get a dashboard: who has practised, how they scored, and where the whole team keeps dropping points. There is a core set of scenarios staff sign off on, so you know everyone has passed the conversations that matter most, not just the ones they fancied trying.
The scenarios in the demo come from our own martial arts academy, because that is who it was built for first. Every standard in it is a real policy a real front desk holds today.
How it works
Built from your policies
Scenarios and marking standards come from your actual rules: your prices, your cancellation policy, your tone. Not generic customer service theory.
Practise against a character
Staff talk to a realistic customer who pushes back, changes tack and gets emotional, the way real ones do. Safely, before the real one walks in.
Scored on what they said
Not a quiz. The scoring reads the actual conversation and marks it against your standards, the same way every time, with feedback they can use on the next run.
Owner dashboard and sign-off
See who has practised and how they went. Core scenarios carry a sign-off, so onboarding has a finish line instead of a shrug.
Three modules, one product.
The first track is the conversation nobody wants: the complaint, the refund, the parent who has already decided, the member cancelling. Staff practise it against a character that pushes back, and get scored on what they actually said rather than how they felt afterwards.
The second is quieter and, for a lot of teams, the one that actually moves the money. Plenty of good staff are fine once a conversation starts and dread starting one. Greetings, small talk, speaking up in a room, asking for the sale. Same engine, same scoring, rehearsed in private with nobody watching and as many retries as it takes. No role-play in front of the team.
The third is languages. The same engine runs a spoken language tutor in sixteen languages, for anyone who wants to greet a customer in theirs. Te reo is text-first on purpose, until there is a voice behind it that does it justice.
There is a fourth in the works, for nerves before a known moment: a competition, a performance review, a hard conversation you can see coming. It is built for our own competitors and being widened. It is not on the price list until it is ready to be.
Who each module is for
- Hard conversations: front desk, coaches, managers, anyone who meets the complaint
- The quieter track: new staff, juniors, and the quiet ones who are good at the job
- Languages: anyone who wants to greet a customer in their own language
- All of them: owners who want the front office to sound the same without them
- Same dashboard, same marking standard, same sign-offs
See it before you talk to us
The demo opens the martial arts version, the same one our own staff use. No sign-up wall, no card. If it is not obviously useful within five minutes, close the tab.
Common questions
Is this really live, or coming soon?
Live. The demo link on this page opens the real product running the martial arts scenarios our own staff train on. What you see is what your team would use.
Does it replace real training conversations?
No, it makes them better. Staff arrive at role-play and coaching having already practised the hard parts. The dashboard shows a manager exactly where to spend coaching time.
How is it tailored to my business?
We build your scenario set and marking standards from your own policies and the conversations your desk actually has. The engine is the same; the content is entirely yours.
Does anyone watch me practise?
No. That is the point. You practise alone against a software character, and you can retry a scenario as many times as you like. An owner running a team sees scores and progress, not recordings of your fumbles.
Is this therapy or public speaking training?
Neither. It is workplace conversation practice: front desk, phone, team room. If social anxiety is seriously affecting your life, a psychologist is the right professional, and this can sit alongside that work, not replace it.
What does it cost?
Priced after a call, scoped to your team size and how many scenario sets you need. Try the demo first so the call is about your business, not a product tour.
