Who we are
Offsider builds front office systems for service businesses. We are based in Sandgate, Brisbane, and this policy covers personal information collected through this website.
What we collect
The booking form on the contact page. When you ask for a call we collect your name, your mobile number, your email address, what kind of business you run and a short description of the problem you want solved. We use it for exactly two things: ringing you at the time you asked for, and preparing for that call so you are not explaining yourself twice. The form is handled by our hosting provider's form service and the submission is emailed to us. If the call does not lead to work together, tell us and we delete it. If you never tell us, we delete anything that has gone nowhere after twelve months.
Email you send us. When you email robbie@offsidertech.com, we receive whatever you choose to include: your name, your email address and your message. We use it for one purpose: replying to you and, if you become a client, doing the work you asked for.
The calculator. The revenue calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are never transmitted, stored or seen by us.
Hosting logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and pages requested, to run and secure the service, under its own privacy policy.
Tracking
We count events, not people. This site records a small number of anonymous counters, such as how many people opened the pricing page or started the calculator on a given day. No cookies, no fingerprinting, no third-party trackers, no advertising pixels, and nothing that could be tied back to you or followed across other websites. There is no identifier stored in your browser at all. If we ever add advertising measurement, this page will be updated first to say exactly what was added and how to opt out.
Who we share it with
Nobody, beyond the providers that run parts of the service for us: our hosting and form provider, and our email provider. If you become a client we may also use a scheduling or accounting provider, and we will tell you which. We do not sell personal information, we do not add you to a marketing list because you booked a call, and we never will.
Access, correction and deletion
How long we keep it
Booking form submissions that did not become work: twelve months. Email: as long as the thread is useful, then archived. Client records: seven years, because our accountant and the ATO require it. Anonymous counters: they are aggregate numbers with nothing personal in them, so there is nothing to delete.
Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email robbie@offsidertech.com and we will sort it out.
Complaints
If you think we have handled your information badly, tell us first and give us the chance to fix it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new date at the top.
